Our story

From headlight restorations to a Clinton Township auto detailing shop

No investors, no franchise playbook. Every piece of equipment in the building was paid for by the job before it.

2022 — Where it started

Headlight restorations, one at a time

Refresh My Ride began as a single service: bringing foggy, yellowed headlights back to clear. It's tedious work most shops won't bother with, and it taught me the thing this whole business runs on — people notice when someone actually takes their time.

Summer 2023 — Going all in

Full details out of a 2004 Honda Accord

Customers kept asking what else I could do, so I moved into full interior and exterior detailing. For nearly two years I ran the whole operation out of a 2004 Honda Accord. Polishers, extractor, chemicals, and water, all packed into one sedan, driving to customers across Macomb and Oakland. If I wanted better tools, I had to earn them first.

Spring 2025 — Real equipment

The Chevy Express build-out

I bought a Chevy Express van and built it out specifically for this work — the setup that finally let me offer paint correction and ceramic coating properly instead of just detailing. That van is still on the road today handling our mobile and valet appointments.

Summer 2025 — Not a one-man shop anymore

Hiring the first crew

Handing your work to someone else is the hardest part of growing this kind of business. I hired slowly and trained in-house against the same standard I'd used alone for three years: if it wouldn't pass my inspection, it doesn't leave the shop.

November 2025 — Four walls

Our first shop in Clinton Township

Moving indoors changed what we could offer. Controlled conditions opened up window tint, longer-term coatings, and multi-day correction work — no more racing the weather or fighting dust in someone's driveway.

September 2026 — 33115 Louise Ave

Our current 2,000 square foot facility

We outgrew that first shop in under a year. Our new 2,000 square foot facility on Louise Ave gives us the space and lighting to do correction and coating work right, with room for multiple vehicles at once. More than 1,000 vehicles in, the standard hasn't moved — see the work for yourself.

Three ways to get it done

Coatings and tint happen in the shop, where we can control temperature, dust, and cure time. Everything else can come to you.

Drop it off

Bring it to the shop on Louise Ave. Enclosed bays, controlled lighting, and indoor storage — required for ceramic coating, window tint, and paint correction.

We come to you

Mobile auto detailing at your home or workplace, anywhere within about 30–40 minutes of Clinton Township. Same products, same process, your driveway.

Valet pickup

We pick the vehicle up, service it at the shop, and bring it back. The option most of our coating customers choose when they can't spare the day.
