Driving in Clinton Township
Three corridors, one river, no downtown.
Clinton Township runs from 14 Mile Road at its south edge to Hall Road at the north, with Fraser and Mount Clemens carved out of what began as a standard six mile square. It has no traditional downtown. The township is known by three corridors, Groesbeck Highway, Gratiot Avenue and Hall Road, and the three branches of the Clinton River come together inside its borders. Here is what that does to a vehicle, and what we do about it.
Three state highways and I-94
Hall Road (M-59), Gratiot (M-3) and Groesbeck (M-97) are state highways. With I-94, they are among the heaviest traveled roads in the township. State and primary roads are where county plows and salt trucks start when it snows. The salt rides home on rocker panels and floor mats, and stays until it is washed off the paint and extracted from the carpet.
Where a mobile detail fits
Single-family subdivisions take up the largest share of the township's land, and a driveway with room to walk the full perimeter of the vehicle is the easy case. Apartment and condo complexes cluster along Hayes Road, Garfield Road and 19 Mile Road. There, tell us about the parking first. Dogs at the mall, kayaks on the river
The Mall at Partridge Creek is open-air and welcomes dogs. George George Memorial Park has a kayak and canoe launch on the Clinton River. So the back of the car gets dog hair one weekend and river mud and wet gear the next. Steam and hot water extraction are how it all comes back out.
A cruise on Gratiot every August
The Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise runs Gratiot Avenue between 14 Mile Road and Wellington Crescent on the first Sunday in August. Our shop is just off 14 Mile too, west of Gratiot. Parked in full sun with people walking past, paint shows every swirl mark. Paint correction is the machine polishing that removes them. It is shop work, done before any ceramic coating goes on.

From the north end, take Garfield Road south to 14 Mile Road and turn east. Louise Ave is on the left after Kelly Road. From Gratiot, turn west on 14 Mile and Louise Ave is on the right, before Kelly Road. From the Civic Center on Romeo Plank Road it is about 6 miles, roughly 15 minutes without traffic.
The shop is appointment only, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and closed on weekends. We are often out on mobile and valet jobs, so call or text (586) 400-1303 or book online before you head over. Online booking is open 24/7, and with an appointment we will have a bay ready for you.
Living close does not mean you have to make the trip. A detail, inside, outside or both, can be done in your driveway or at your workplace, since we bring our own power and water. Coating, tint and paint correction stay in our enclosed bays, under controlled lighting, even if you live around the corner. For those, valet picks the vehicle up, we do the work at the shop, and we bring it back. On coating jobs your Uber is covered for the drop-off and pickup.

Detailing is from $139.99 for a Wash & Seal, from $184.99 for a Premium Interior Detail and from $249.99 for an Essential Refresh, inside and out.
