Can you ceramic coat my car at my home in Royal Oak?
No. A coating has to go on in a closed bay, away from wind, dust and whatever the trees are dropping that week, and then cure before it goes back outside. A driveway cannot give us that. The work is done at our shop, and valet pickup or a covered Uber takes care of the trip.
I have no driveway to wash the car in. Does a coating still make sense?
Yes, and it makes the washing you can do go further. Dirt and salt do not bond to a coated panel the way they do to bare clear coat, so a touchless automatic wash gets more of it off. Touchless is fine for a coating. Brush-style automatic washes are the ones to skip: they put swirls in any finish. Every package also includes a free follow-up wash with an inspection at our shop. One limit to know: a coating is not armor. It does not stop rock chips, key scratches or a bumper scuffed in a tight parallel park.
How long will you have my vehicle?
At least a full day, and longer when the paint needs more correction. Decontamination, correction and cure time take the hours. We give you an exact window when we quote your vehicle, so you can plan the Uber or the valet pickup around it.
What does a ceramic coating cost for my car?
It is quoted per vehicle. Size, the condition of the paint and how much correction it needs decide the work. Paint that has spent years under street trees and going through brush washes generally needs more polishing than a car fresh off the lot. Give it room. The cruise is the third Saturday in August, and a coating needs at least a full day in the shop, more when the paint needs heavier work first. Every package includes paint correction before the coating goes on, so the car reaches Woodward corrected and protected. Glass, wheels and trim can be coated in the same visit.
