Film is installed indoors at our Clinton Township shop. Patterns are cut on a plotter for your exact year, make and model, so no blade touches the glass. From central Royal Oak it is about 14 miles: onto I-696 east at I-75, then Groesbeck Highway (M-97) north to 14 Mile Road.
Install time runs from about 1.5 hours for the front two windows to about 3.5 hours for full sides and rear glass. If the drive does not fit your day, ask about pick-up and drop-off valet: we collect the car in Royal Oak, tint it at the shop and bring it back.

How long will my car be at the shop for tint?
Most installs are done the same day. The front two windows take about 1.5 hours, full sides about 2.5 hours, and full sides with the rear glass about 3.5 hours. Add the drive from Royal Oak, roughly 25 minutes each way without traffic, and it is a morning or an afternoon. We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by appointment.

I park in one of the downtown structures. Anything to know after the install?
Leave the windows up for 3 to 4 days. The city structures have pay stations on the first floor, so you can pay there on foot instead of by card at the exit. If a gate or a drive-through still needs a hand out the window, open the door for those few days. Small water pockets or a light haze in the first week are normal.
